The Builders Association of the Twin Cities is the leading voice for builders and remodelers. BATC represents almost 1,100 builders, remodelers, developers and industry suppliers with a mission of helping its members grow their businesses through marketing, advocacy and industry connections. BATC is widely recognized as a powerful force at the state Legislature and with state regulatory agencies. BATC's advocacy work is designed to educate and communicate to government agencies and elected officials information about issues of importance to builders, remodelers, developers and others, with a goal of ensuring the industry can continue to provide a diverse selection of quality and affordable housing to the Twin Cities area.
BATC has presented the Parade of Homes℠ to the region since 1949, and the Remodelers Showcase® since 1984. These popular and free home tour events showcase the variety and opportunities available in new homes and remodeling for families across the extended metro region. Launched in June 2014, BATC added the Artisan Home Tour℠, a ticketed tour of high-end homes, to their consumer offerings.
Additionally, BATC offers Minnesota’s Green Path, a growing new home and remodeling energy labeling and certification program to promote healthy, durable, energy-efficient homes to buyers and homeowners.
About the BATC Foundation
The charitable arm of BATC is a nonprofit organization with the mission: to work in partnership with others to revitalize communities and create safe, quality, affordable housing. The Foundation helps people in need who otherwise might not have the opportunity to have a safe and affordable home by bringing together the experience and talents of BATC members and other charitable groups in the region. One of the Foundation's major funding sources is the Parade of Homes Dream Home project, with other funding from BATC builder partners, member donations, cash donations and grants.
