Slight Rise for Twin Cities Residential Construction in November, 2014

Roseville, MN (November 26, 2014) – Several multi-family projects permitted in November 2014 helped the monthly units surpass November of 2013 totals by 34 percent. While the year-to-date units remain behind 2013, November’s activity more than halved the lag to just two percent.

Over 600 Builders Association of the Twin Cities (BATC) members attended the industry’s biggest event of the year, a red carpet Awards Gala on Thursday, October 23rd. The gala was held at the Union Depot in St. Paul with morning anchor Jason DeRusha, WCCO, emceeing the festivities.

September 2014 Twin Cities Residential Construction Remains Tentative

Residential construction in the region continues to under perform expectations, with total year-to-date planned units permitted dropping behind 2013 for the first time. Planned units were down over eight percent for the year, while single family permits were down by 7.5 percent.
