For the fourth month in a row, home building activity continues to break 10-year old permit number records. March total permits are up nearly 30 percent over this month last year, while units are up nearly 50 percent over March 2016.

Twin Cities Single Family Construction Remains Slow and Steady

2013 Begins Strong for Twin Cities’ Residential Construction

Residential housing permits came on strong in spite of the frigid weather in January. Permits were up almost 70 percent over those issued in the month of January 2012, while planned units were more than 50 percent higher.
